The purpose of this project is to develop self-care abilities of communities and individuals to independently regenerate and recover from the consequences of disasters. It is expected to develop based on the viewpoints of nursing care during ordinary times. Under this purpose, the aim of the project is to develop nursing care strategies and establish information or human support networks in the ubiquitous society in order to minimize the influences of disasters to lives and health of people, with a special focus on disaster preparedness and an overall process that takes all stages into account, from the beginning of disasters to mid- and long-term perspectives.
This project consists of three research sections comprising two or three projects each; a total eight projects. The activities of each research section or each project are conducted cooperatively. The activities of each research section are described as follows.
