Ordinary and emergency electric power sources

Children using medical equipment may face life-threatening problems when a power outage occurs. Hospitals usually have a private electric generator for backup in the event of a power outage. It is always necessary to ensure that medical equipment is connected to the emergency electric power source.

Children�fs bedside

* Shoes, mask, blanket, bath towel and sweater
These items are essential to keep children warm and prevent them from being injured.

* Patients should be instructed to bring shoes with them when hospitalized. In an emergency, shoes will protect their feet. Slippers should be avoided.

* Masks or towels should always be at hand for emergencies, which will help protect children from infection, dust and smoke.

* Bath towels and sweaters should be ready for keeping children warm.These items may be added to your ward�fs admission instruction for children�fs hospitalization.
