RINCPC and the disaster related major events
2006 August Organized and planed the Third Asian Form on Disaster Nursing in Awaji, Hyogo.
2006 April Disaster Nursing was included in the master program as one of core area at Graduate School of Nursing, the University of Hyogo. This is first initiative in Japan.
2005 June 2ndInternational Nursing Conference 2005 “Caring in Disaster and Emergency Situation”
2004 December The Research Institute of Nursing Care for People and Community (RINCPC) opened. Promoting Center for Nursing Research dissolved into RINCPC.
2004 December Organized and planed the Second Asian Form on Disaster Nursing in Awaji, Hyogo.
The participants were five countries (in Asia and the USA).
2004 April University of Hyogo, College of Nursing Art & Science was re-opened.
2004 April Disaster Nursing was included in the doctorate program as one of core area at Graduate School of Nursing, the University of Hyogo. This is first initiative in Japan.
2003 The College of Nursing Art & Science, Hyogo was designated as the Center of Excellence (COE) Program for 21 Century on the research project “Development of a Center of Excellence for Disaster Nursing in a Ubiquitous Society” by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology.
2002 The Asian Summit Conference on Disaster Nursing was convened in Awaji, Hyogo, Japan.? Declaration of Asian Forum on Disaster Nursing Education was announced.
2001 Promoting Center for Nursing Research (PCNR) was started in the College of Nursing Art & Science, Hyogo.
1999 The First Research Conference on Disaster Nursing was held in the CNAS, Hyogo.
1998 The Japan Society of Disaster Nursing was established.? Dr. Hiroko Minami became first President of the Society.
1997 Graduate School was opened in the CNAS, Hyogo.? The Master Program in Nursing was established and main focus was on to promote highly skilled and competent nursing practitioner.? A subject of Disaster Nursing was included in the master’s curriculum.
1996 The topic of the Third International Seminar at the CNAS, Hyogo was on “Risk management ? Preparedness for Disaster in Nursing.”
1995 The Second International Nursing Research Conference of Japan Academy of Nursing Science was hosted by Dr. Hiroko Minami at Kobe on September.? Message from Kobe was added to the main theme of the conference for the world nursing colleagues to know about the earthquake aftermath situation in nursing.
1995 Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake on January 17. Nursing Volunteered Center was established within CNAS, Hyogo campus with Hyogo Prefectural Nursing Association and Japanese Nursing association.
